5/26/03 at Westside Sporting Grounds
We still don't have a name, but
please contact me with your suggestions.
We want these events to be unique, so please email or
call with any ideas. We may plan on having lunch at the same time
for everyone at the next events, so we can truly make it a social club.
Also, count on us having some interesting stations and games so it's not
just another competition for high score.
I really appreciate each person that came out for
this first shoot. I was so glad this went over so well. I hope everyone
enjoyed it. FYI, there were a total of 93 shooters, 14 lady shooters, and
several onlookers as well as 9 juniors. All the smiles just made my day. I
will have more information about the social club shoots coming in the near
future. Please email me your thoughts and ideas, that's what its all about
- YOU!
Thank so much to Bob Hughes who helped with the young
shooters, Chris Reddick and wife Debbie helped with the course and scores,
Laurie and Dan for letting me do this and those two worked setting the
quail flush station, loading, filling water jugs, cleaning the stations,
scoring, and so much more (we are all exhausted), and the wonderful, Sandi
Brister, supportive wife of Bob, for helping me with the scores. By the
way, the "thing" for the I spy game was a big candy cane and it was on the
tower by the 5-stand. No one found it, so the million dollar prize will go
back to the bank. ha! It was nice to see some of the wives come and shoot
or support their favorite shooter.
Congrats to Bobby, Ron and Wayne and to Joey Bolton.
Thanks for the donations from Tim & Martha-NYX
Sports, Briley,
ARMUSA, and
Stephen Nutbeam-email for lessons.
