The National Side-by-Side Festival

                                                            March 24 - 26, 2006

Main Event  - Sporting Clays

• 111 Sporting Clay targets at 16 stations
• HOA to have his/her name engraved on the permanent National Champion trophy and to receive National Side-by-Side Championship personal trophy.
• Trophies for top 5 places in Senior division, top 5 places in Veteran division, top 3 places in Ladies division, and Junior champion.
• A single trophy to High Hammer Gun (concurrent). 
• International Sporting Clays rules apply - low gun. An exception for ISC rules: "spreader loads" of appropriate weight will be allowed.
• NO changing of choke tubes allowed once the course has been started.
• There will be two flight times for the Main Event on Sunday, if necessary. These will start at 8:30 AM and 12:00 Noon. Flight times will be posted Saturday evening. Sunday morning check-in will be open at 8:00 AM. Practice available starting at 8 AM.
• In case of ties, HOA will be determined by a shoot-off at 3:30 PM. All other ties to be resolved by results from tie-breaker stations.
• Main event limited to 200 entrants.
• Trophy ceremony to be held at 5:00 PM Sunday.

Side Events  - Sporting Clays

NOTE: Registration for the Main Event is not required to shoot Side Events.

Shooting Sportsman Small Gauge Events
50 Sporting Clays Targets
Friday and Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

16 ga (1 oz), 20 ga (7/8 oz), 24 ga (13/16 oz), 28 ga (3/4 oz), 32 ga (9/16 oz), and .410 (1/2 oz) NO tube sets or chambermates allowed for small gauge events

Hammmer Champion, Hammerless Champion and Lady Champion trophies awarded in all gauges except 24 and 32.  Single high gun trophy in 24 and 32 gauges.

10 Gauge Event (not more than 1 1/2 oz)
50 Sporting Clays Targets – Hammer Champion and Hammerless Champion trophies
Friday and Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

American Classics Event
50 Sporting Clays Targets – Champion, Runner-up, and Lady trophies
Friday and Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
This event open to guns of American design and/or manufacture.

Briley Paired Gun Championship
Champion and Lady trophies - Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Please note, shooter must have pair of guns and a loader. 200 targets in 4 min. Due to time constraints you may be assigned a day.   Ladies must have other competitors.  (Practice available)  Loading must be done in traditional manner with traditional shell holders.

Briley Two Man/Woman Team Championship
Champion and Lady trophies - Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Due to time constraints, you may be assigned a day. Two shooters to use 1 or 2 guns each, with or without a loader, to shoot 200 targets in 4 minutes.  Ladies must have other competitors.  (Practice Available) 

Promatic Black Powder Compak Championship
Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Cartridges must be loaded with Black Powder and not more than 1 1/8oz shot.

Ties for Side Events to be resolved by results from tiebreaker stations.

Ladies trophies to high lady with at least two competitors, but not in 24 ga and 32 ga.

Helice Championship   Two, thirty bird races, shot on Saturday and Sunday.  Both days required for championship.  Side and preliminary matches as time permits.  Trophies to HOA, Senior (3 places), Veterans (3 places), Ladies (2 places).  Warm-up races and practice as time permits.

Texas-style Barbecue:   Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets $50.00 per person.  Limited to 100.

Food and beverages will be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
