Sporting Clays at Rio Brazos

With the Great Outdoors as your playground, Rio Brazos provides a  relaxing day for you to share with your clients, employees, guests and friends. Men and women of all ages and abilities enjoy shooting sporting clays, bird hunting or fishing for trophy large mouth bass. Rio Brazos has much to offer. 

Rio Brazos offers the perfect venue for corporate sporting clay events, NSCA registered shoots and fundraising charity shoots. From 10 to 300 or even more shooters can be accommodated with added courses.  The sporting clay course is laid out on a pristine  landscape of wooded thickets, rolling hills and picturesque lakes.  A 40 foot tall tower for dove shots, a running bunny, springing teal, flushing quail, and speedy mini target are among the favorite targets on the course.  Abundant shade, perfectly manicured grounds, with plenty of cold water, benches for resting and friendly hospitable staff make Rio Brazos a favorite among sporting clay enthusiasts.  A day breaking clays and visiting with friends or customers is perfection when you add other activities such as fishing or top it off with a delectable meal in the clubhouse.  Rio Brazos will make your event unforgettable for your clients and stress free  for you.  Just leave it up to us. 

The clubhouse offers meeting space, a place to relax with friends or clients, and a full service kitchen able to serve simple to gourmet meals.  Overnight lodging for your guests is available.  Rio Brazos staff anticipates your needs and makes your meetings and conferences productive and comfortable.   

Hunting & Fishing at Rio Brazos Hunting Preserve

Rio Brazos is dedicated to the utmost in high quality upland bird hunting.  Wing shooters will enjoy quail, chukar and pheasant hunting in the beautiful and pleasant terrain of rolling hills, wooded thickets and lakes.  Full day and half day hunts as well as custom hunts are available mid October through mid March.  You supply shotgun, shells, hunting and fishing license and ice chest and Rio Brazos supplies experienced guides, warmup clays, birds, dogs, orange vest, birds cleaned, ice, drinks.   Rio Brazos hunts are:

·          20 quail, 4 chukar, and 4 pheasant will be released per hunter. 

·          All bookings require a minimum of 2 hunters

·          A maximum of 4 hunters in each group

·          50% deposit is required upon booking date

·          All cancellations must be 5 days in advance

·          Individual Hunt price: $425.00 Half Day 

·          Discounted packages are available for 15 or more hunts.

Rio Brazos Clubhouse is available for groups of 10 to 80 for full or half days.
